James Clifford Bell Jr.

James Clifford Bell Jr., also known as J.R., 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 19, 2026. J.R. was born on November 18, 1959, in Indianapolis, to the late James Bell Sr. and Ethel (Maynard) Bell. He attended Tech High School. James worked as a sales contractor for carpet installation.

J.R. loved working on cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; sister, Linda Davis; and two nephews, Donnie Davis and JJ Nicholson.

J.R. is survived by his siblings, Doug Bell (Georgia), Cyndi Rogers (), and Brian Bell (Kathy); thirteen nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews; along with many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 11am to 12pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, with a service starting at 12pm. J.R’s final resting place will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
