JaeShaun Amar Jordan

JaeShaun Amar Jordan passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2025, from a sudden illness. She was born on January 19, 1981, in Anderson, Indiana to Jolenna D. Jones (Joy) and Ernest A. Fortson II.

Shaun grew up in Anderson, Indiana. She attended local schools and loved the town she called home. She took pride in all she did. Always a leader at every job, speaking up for the rights of everyone. Her passion, protective nature and love for her family (and friends) saw no limits. Her fighting spirit made her the person to contend with. She never met a debate she couldn’t win and thrived on having the last word. If Shaun was in your corner, you knew you had an ally. Her family and friends are reeling from this sudden loss and celebrating her vibrant life.

Shaun was proceeded in death by her mother Jolenna D. Jones, godmother Annie Redfield. She is survived by her fiancé: Owen Brewer, two children: son Sylus Reese (Alyssa) and daughter Kenia Jordan, granddaughter: Sanova Reese, fathers: Ernest A Fortson II (DezaRae) and Thomas Hudson (Jackie), four sisters: Tanee Hudson (Will), Grace Fortson (Lindsey), Gina Hudson, Tinica Fuller-Laster (Mark) and five brothers: Ernest A. Fortson III (Lisa), Brian Watkins (Doris), Travon Hudson (Lakisha), Torrie Hudson, Tyler Hudson (Marriah). The family will have a celebration of her life on August 2 in Anderson, Indiana at Grays Park on Main.
