Jackie was born September 5, 1936, to Wayne Hardyman & Helen Hardyman Howald (both deceased). She passed away on August 11, 2025, at the Beech Grove Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility at the age of 88. Preceding her in death was her loving husband Arlis Earl Lambert and her three sisters Janice Hardyman, Sharon Pickerel, and Cheryl Bear.
Jackie is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years to Robert V. Freeman of Indianapolis; her Children: Julius, Broatus (Ginny), Randy (Kathy), Randal (Liz) Lambert and stepson Cecil Freeman.
Jackie (also known as grandma next door) is also survived by her Granddaughters: Angel Marie Lambert, and Brandy Lambert-Shelton; Her Grandsons: Dennis, Matthew Arlis, Adam, Eric, Matt, and Dylan Lambert. She is survived by 26 great grandchildren and 8 Great-Great grandchildren.
Jackie loved traveling, meeting people and never met a stranger. She was a collector of many things, but her favorite collections were earrings from all over the world that she received from her travels and friends. She took great pride in showing off this collection.
The family would like to thank the staff of Beech Grove Meadows and the friends that she made during her illness.
We will cherish the memories of Jackie Freeman always. May she rest in peace.
Services in honor of Jacqueline Joyce Hardyman-Lambert-Freeman will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Legacy Cremation Funeral Services—Lawrence. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation at 12:00 PM prior to services.
