Isaiah Joseph Wilson

December 13, 2005 — June 29, 2025

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Isaiah, age 19, who tragically taken from us too soon on June 29, 2025.

Born on December 13, 2005, Isaiah was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. A proud 2024 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, he had dreams as big as his heart. A dedicated athlete and teammate, he found joy and purpose on the baseball field, where his determination, sportsmanship, and love for the game shone through every time he played.

Isaiah was enrolled at Ivy Tech, driven by big dreams and a creative spirit. He was passionate about fashion and had aspirations to launch his own clothing line—an ambition that reflected his unique style and determination. His vision and talent were just beginning to take shape, and those who knew him could see the bright future he was building for himself.

Isaiah was known for his warm heart, easy smile, and the way he could make anyone feel like family. His loyalty to his loved ones ran deep, and he never hesitated to lend a hand, share a laugh, or stand up for what he believed in. He had a special way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved.

Isaiah is survived by his father, Idris Wilson, his siblings, Mariah Smotherman and Isaac Wilson, maternal grandparents, Anthony Smotherman, Brenda Smotherman, and Elizabeth Thomas, paternal grandparents, Sondra Easley and Delbert Easley, extended family, and countless friends who are devastated by his loss and will miss him dearly every single day.

Isaiah is now reunited in Heaven with his loving mother, Emily Smotherman, whose memory he carried close to his heart. He is also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jackie Wilson. Together, they welcome him with open arms, surrounding him with the love that shaped his life.

Isaiah entered into heaven with his brother and best friend, Jesse Quiroz. Their bond was one-of-a-kind—an unbreakable friendship that defined them both. Anyone who knew them knew they were inseparable. From school to school, step by step, they followed each other through life, never far from one another. Even in their final moments on Earth, they were side by side—just as they had always been.

A celebration of Isaiah's life will be held on Friday, July 11 at 1PM, at The Community Life Center at Washington Park East, 10612 E. Washington St. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10AM until the time of the service. Isaiah will be laid to rest next to his mother, Emily Mae Smotherman, at Washington Park North Cemetery.
