Ian Jace Jewett

Ian Jace Jewett, 41, of Westfield, IN, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 4, 1982, at Belleveau Women’s Hospital in Schenectady, NY.  Ian attended Shenendehowa High School and shortly after moved to Ft. Myers, FL where he found his love for cooking. After 10 years in Florida, Ian moved back to NY to be with family where he continued to pursue his culinary passion at The Next Door Kitchen & Bar in nearby Ballston Spa, NY.  In 2020, he moved to Westfield, IN with his dad, and step mom to be closer to his sister.

Ian enjoyed life tremendously; in his youth, he looked forward to boating, traveling, snowboarding, camping, and attending football games & drag races with his dad and sister.  He was also a huge cinematography, and world history buff. On Sundays, he could be found watching football, the Yankees or reading one of the many great American novels. 

Ian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Marion Jewett, and Harry and Ann Leffler. He is survived by his father, William Jewett (Karen); sister, Kirby Jewett; and mother, Lori Jewett.
