Helen Irene Blakeslee

Helen Irene Blakeslee, 95, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on February 17, 2023.  She was born on June 25, 1927, in Noblesville, IN to the late Ralph and Ethel (Snyder) Roudebush.  Helen graduated from Noblesville High School and worked at Herf Jones in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Helen was raised with 13 siblings.  She loved her family very much and they were a big part of her life, helping her raise her 4 sons.  Helen spoke to her family every day on the phone, especially her sisters, Marilyn and Edna.  She would speak to them for hours on end.  Helen loved family get togethers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; her husband, William Blakeslee; her son, Steve Blakeslee; and her 5 brothers and 8 sisters.

Helen is survived by her sons, Brad Blakeslee, Dan Blakeslee (Michele) and Brian Blakeslee; granddaughters, Jennifer Walker and Danielle Wilson; great grandchildren, Max Wilson, Bella Wilson, Nate Walker and Andrew Walker; along with 40 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12pm to 1pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 8540 E. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219; with funeral services to start at 1pm.  Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, IN.
