Heather Rose Wilbur

Heather Rose (Loftus) Wilbur, 53, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025. She was born on March 17, 1972, at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN.

Heather graduated from Anderson High School in 1990 and went on to build a life filled with hard work, love, and laughter. She dedicated more than 20 years to Marsh and LoBill’s, spent many years working with Sallie Mae, and even helped run a family-owned diner in Alexandria, IN for three years. Heather was known for her strong work ethic and her ability to make everyone feel welcome.

She was a big reader and had tons of books with her favorite being Steven King. Heather enjoyed working on puzzles, listening to the Beatles and watching reality tv- shows like Big Brother and Survivor. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her warm heart and caring nature touched everyone who knew her.

Heather is survived by her daughter, Kyla Loftus; son, Sean Wilbur Jr.; grandson Gibson Sagar; stepfather Charles Loftus; siblings Holly (Kirby) Wheeler and Jimmy Wingate; nieces and nephew Kelby Wheeler, Koral Wheeler, Kiara Wheeler, and Chelsey Matolcsy; long-term boyfriend J.D. Decruz; and many other close and special cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roger Wingate and Roseanna (McCoy) Loftus; aunt Linda (McCoy) Beadle; uncle John M. McCoy; and grandparents J.D. and Deloris McCoy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 17 from 1-3 PM at Saint Ambrose Church Assembly Hall located at 2800 Morton St Anderson IN 46016.
