Harry Ray Mullins was born into a military family on Oct. 29, 1956, in Fort Myers, Virginia. His father Harry F. Mullins was assigned to the Presidential Honor Guard. His mother was Hilda Imogene Redden from Hinton, West Virginia. Harry moved a lot as a child in a military family, finally relocating to Anderson, Indiana, in 1974. He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1976, and immediately joined the U.S. Army following in his fathers steps. He became a member of the prestigious 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii, serving as an infantryman. Harry was a shining star in the Army becoming a Promotable E-6 in less than seven years. Harry was a family man &had many children including: Trenton Patterson, Chris Myers, Ivy Mullins (Benny), and Justin Mullins (Megan), through his first marriage to Rita Myers. He had several more children; Theodore Papa (Amber), Stephanie Millins (Jason), Trevor Mullins (Lindi), Jermey Mullins, Glen Mullins (Selena), Zac Mullins (Kaleigh), & Haley Mullins (Daquan) in his final marriage with his wife Brenda Mahan Mullins. Harry loved the outdoors and going camping& fishing with his children. He could be very comical with his quick wit. He was devoted to his wife, Brenda Mahan Mullins, children and grandchildren. He cherished them all. Harry is survived by his children, Trenton Patterson, Theodore Papa, Ivy, Justin, Stephanie, Trevor, Glen, Zac, & Haley Mullins. many special grandchildren, & his siblings, Ishmael (Tara), Mark (Karen) Mace, Lori (Marty) Waller, Hansford (Chong), & Joe Mullins. Harry was proceeded in death by his father, Harry F. Mullins; his mother, Imogene Mullins (Kim); son, Chris Myers; son, Jermey Joe Mullins; grandparents; and aunts and uncles. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. for family, and 9:30 a.m. for the public on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at Legacy Cremation Funeral Services, 504 W. Ninth St., Anderson. Services will be held the same day and location at 11:30 a.m. with his son, Brother Justin Mullins officiating. Harry will be receiving full Military Honors. A celebration of life will be held after the funeral at 2p.m. at the Sweet Galilee Assisted Living center, located at 1315 John St., Anderson.
