Hardin Cheatham Jr.

Hardin Cheatham, Jr. went to be with Jesus on July 14, 2023.

Hardin was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on July 7, 1951 to Hardin Sr. and Clara Cheatham, who both preceded him in death.

Hardin attended Indiana State University and left there to play music in several bands that traveled throughout the United States, France and Spain.  Hardin then worked for several companies, including Public Service Company, UPS, and the telephone company, before working for Amtrak for over 32 years.  He retired from Amtrak in July 2011 to enjoy life and his next season.

Hardin loved the Lord with all his heart and was a member of the Body of Christ.  He married Linda (Ritzius) Cheatham on October 15, 1976, and leaves her to cherish his memories, along with his daughter, Simone Cheatham.  He is survived by his sister, Julia (Les) Cheatham-Kimble; his brother, Jerome (Tammy) Cheatham; his sister-in-law, Cheryl (Les) Greenfield; his niece, Mya Cheatham; and his nephew, Quincy Cheatham, along with several cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue.   Burial services will be private at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
