Gladys Bernice Mims was born on September 4, 1946, in Houston, Texas, to Lillian Howard and Charles Winfrey, both of whom preceded her in death.
Gladys attended school in Houston, Texas, where she graduated and entered the workforce as a home care provider and daycare provider. She dedicated many years of service to caring for others.
Gladys was a wonderful mother, and a loving and caring grandmother. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed visiting the casino and playing card games with her sisters. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
Gladys was preceded in death by her late husband, Gene Kiser, and her sisters Lillian Howard, Alberta Howard, Lee Howard, Olivia Howard, and Centerilla Staples, along with other siblings.
She is survived by her sisters Bethel Glover, Brenda Howard, and her half-sister Louise Howard. She leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
