Geraldine Gay

Geraldine Whobrey Gay, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 18, 2026. Geraldine was a devoted family woman, who greatly enjoyed filling the role as the matriarch of the family, and who also served in many rolls, including the family babysitter and an excellent cook who was known for the ability to make sure that no one who came to her home would leave hungry. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Jack (Kristin) Whobrey, Donnie (Alicia) Gay, Ronnie Gay. Her beloved Grandchildren: Brittany Whobrey, Ashley Whobrey, Jack Whobrey, Bryce Whobrey, Reese Whobrey, Kristen Whobrey, Kathie Whobrey, Anthony Gay, Donnie Gay, Chase Gay, Lindsey Gay, Emma Short, Tavy Short, Logan Short. She also leaves her 4 Great-Grandchildren to remember her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blossie and Mamie Whobrey and her daughter Vickie Renner, and husband Arnold Gay.

A visitation for Geraldine will be held at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis on Friday May 29, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and she will be placed to rest at Floral Park Cemetery following visitation.
