Jerry burned rubber in his favorite truck through the pearly gates Feb 1, 2026. When he got out of his truck, with a mischievous grin, remarked “What a ride!” Waiting for him were his parents, Mildred and Sydney, brother Sidney Jr, and twin brother Jim.
Jerry Lived every day as if it were an adventure. Whether it was his career in the Army and Indiana National Guard, or his career with Carmel Clay Schools as a mechanic, he never let a day go by without a smile or a joke.
Jerry was a man with simple pleasures. He loved his beer and scotch. He enjoyed having a nice watch, and a little bling on his hand. He liked having the nicest truck and the flashiest Corvette.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Sebastian, sister Karen Mitchner, his children, Lora Bacon, Sharon McKinney, and Jeanira Allen; eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren, who loved him dearly.
He touched everyone who met him. He never met a stranger. Whether it was at the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners, or on the golf course, he always left with new friends.
Please join his family and friends in sharing stories and raising a beer to Jerry, at the Carmel American Legion, 852 W. Main Street, Carmel, IN on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honor of his memory and lifetime of service to the Army Emergency Fund.
