Gayle Lenore Utley (Buckner) , 78, of Noblesville IN, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025.
Born on August 15, 1946 in Youngstown Ohio, Gayle lived a life guided by her unwavering belief that one should always follow their heart. An independent woman, she forged her own path with resilience and grace, even as she wrestled with finding her true purpose in life. Her spiritual journey, marked by deep reflection and a quest for meaning, inspired those around her to seek their own truths. Yet, amidst her searching, the only title she embraced with absolute certainty was “Mother.” Her love for her two sons, Greg and Grant, was the cornerstone of her life, and her love for them was boundless.
Gayle's spiritual curiosity led her to explore practices of numerology, astrology, meditation, and prayer. Her warm, contemplative presence left a lasting impact, and she was always available for anyone needing an ear to bend or a shoulder to cry on. She cherished quiet moments and spent most of her time reading, searching for wisdom, and encouraging everyone to follow their hearts.
Gayle had a passion for interior decorating, with an artistic eye, and a remarkable gift for transforming spaces into places of beauty and comfort.
Gayle was preceded in death by her father Eugene G. Buckner (Gene), mother Margaret Virginia Buckner (Ginger), and Brothers Gary and Gipp Buckner.
Gayle is survived by her sons, Greg McBride of Indianapolis and Grant McBride of Noblesville, brother Greg Buckner of Ohio, and sister Gloria Whitfield (Buckner) of Florida.
Gayle was a Beautiful, Caring, Loving woman who always wished the best for everyone. Her memory is cherished deeply. We will forever hold her dearly in our hearts.
