Gary Bruce Thomason

Gary Bruce Thomason, age 71, of Anderson, passed away on November 6, 2022, at his home. He was born on September 7, 1951, to Jack and Juanita Thomason.

Gary was one of the most intelligent people you could ever meet. He was witty, great at trivia, and knew so many little fun facts about things most people wouldn’t ever think to know. Gary spent 10 years serving in the United States Air Force, then later working as a sportswriter for the local newspaper. He was a true local sports enthusiast. Gary was proud to be from Indiana and was a die-hard Hoosier. He was a wonderful man who will be missed by so many.

Gary is survived by his children, Aaron Thomason, Alex Thomason, and Jake Thomason (Alex); grandchildren, Christian, Jasmine, Desiray, William, and Christena; brothers, Dave Thomason (Greer) and Dallas Thomason; nieces, Keri Wingler and Kimberley Pike; and nephew, Troy Dilts; and William, Desiray and Christena.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson on Monday December 19, 2022 from 2-4pm with military honors at 4pm.
