Freddie Smith

Freddie Smith, 79, of Ingalls, left this earth on June 17, 2023, to rejoin his wife Virginia Smith who had gone on before him.  Freddie was a man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He leaves behind his daughter, Jennifer (Harold) Hagerman; son, Dale (Sharon) Franklin; son, John (Mechial) Hemphill; son, Danny (Jennifer) Rhodes; daughter, Lisa Boles; and son, Johnny Rhodes.  He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Levy Smith; children, Dale Hemphill, Gary Rhodes, Tommy Rhodes and his sister and brother -in -law, Pat (Tommy) Traughber.  Service for Freddie will be held on Thursday June 22, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, with visitation at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
