Frances E. Boyd

Frances E. Boyd, 81, of Greenwood, IN, passed away on December 1, 2023.  She was born on October 24, 1942, in Evansville, IN, to the late Edward and Mary Jane (Smith) Higgs.  Frances graduated from Reitz High School in Evansville.  She worked in finance for Rolls-Royce, retiring in 2013.  Frances was a member of St. Anne’s and St. Jude Church, and a volunteer for the Julian Center, Indianapolis, IN.  She loved to read, sew, and spend anytime given with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; her first husband, Leonard Soika; and her son-in-law, Richard Maurer.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Lisabeth “Lisa” Maurer and Lee Anne Wooton, both of Florida; son, Kenneth Boyd of Colorado; her grandchildren and their loving families, Avery Boyd and Haley Shipp, Alison Wooton, Mason Wooton, Aiden Boyd and Emily New, Ralyn Maurer, Astrid Boyd and Isaiah Maurer.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless close friends.
