Everett Glenn Gimple

March 26, 1939 — May 25, 2025

Anderson

Everett “Glenn” Gimple went to his heavenly reward on May 25, 2025. Born on March 26,1939 in Anderson, Indiana to Elmer and Elizabeth “Polly” Gimple, he graduated from Lapel Highschool and went on to serve in the Air Force.

Married to the Marjorie Roudebush for 66 years, they had three daughters Connie (Sean) Roland, Carla (Gary) Burke and Lisa (Dustin) Caulk. They were blessed with grandchildren Zachary (Kaylee Goen) Spencer and Kelsey Roland along with step grandchildren Jordan and Logan Caulk. Three great-grandchildren Zayden, Kash and Lola Spencer and several step great-grandchildren loved their Papaw and will miss having him there supporting them on in all their endeavors.

He was always at all of our events....swim meets, dance recitals, band competitions, ball games, tennis matches, grandparent’s day, school awards, ceremonies, birthdays. You could always count in him to be there and cheer you on. His was not loud in his support, but you always knew he was there.

He loved unconditionally. Not very loud at that either! He didn’t have to be loud because we knew he was there. Glenn’s example of being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, coach, community leader and man will continue to guide as we navigate the future without him.

Glenn loved God and was active over 50 years at Bethany Christian Church. Deacon, Elder, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, coach, volunteer, he did it all. He played church softball up until about 10 years ago and was instrumental in introducing sports and sporting facilities to the church.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, Glenn would have been honored to have contributions made to the Bethany Christian Church Youth Program
