Eric “Chill” Wilson, beloved father, dedicated worker, and cherished friend, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Moonesville, Indiana. Born on July 8, 1970, in Elwood, Indiana, Eric inspired all who knew him with his unwavering spirit, hard work, and infectious love for life.

A proud graduate of Highland High School, Eric devoted many years of his career as an Area Supervisor for a landscaping company, where he was known not only for his diligence but also for his humble approach to leadership. He brought a sense of care and compassion to all his endeavors, ensuring that those around him felt valued and appreciated.

Eric was more than just a devoted worker; he was a wonderful dad who took great joy in instilling a sense of love and belonging in his family. His children always knew they could count on him to show up, reinforcing his status as a steadfast figure in their lives. Eric's humility did not overshadow his calming, laid-back, personality; he was a free-thinker and minimalist who embraced life's simplicity and profound beauty.

Beyond his professional achievements, Eric was a talented self-taught drummer with a profound passion for music. He found immense joy in classic and alternative rock musical styles, such as Led Zepplin, The Doors, Tool, Van Halen, Beasty Boys, Pink Floyd, and many more, often sharing this love with family and friends. His hardworking yet caring nature made him a remarkable individual who consistently fostered warmth and friendship wherever he went.

Fondly remembered by everyone as "Chill-E-Wil," Eric leaves a legacy of love and compassion, touching the lives of many without ever seeking recognition. His spiritual outlook on life and the connections he fostered exemplify the essence of who he was.

He is survived by those who loved him dearly, his sons Lance Wilson (Brittney), Seth Wilson, Gavin Wilson, and Liam Wilson; Liam's mom Kasee King; granddaughter Brynley Wilson; sister Holly Velez; nephews Isaiah Wilson (Rayenne), Cassius Velez; great-nephew Zy'Rell Wilson; cousin Alysia Schmidt; Uncle John Wilson; Aunts Elaine Wilson and Connie Cooper; and many other friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Donna Wilson and nephew Tre' Burris.

We are holding onto the memories and the lessons he imparted throughout his life. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived life marked by hard work, love, and joyful music. Eric William Wilson will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of his loved ones.
