Elmer Buckley Barker “BUCK” Age 48, Born February 25th, 1974, to Elmer Sr. & Leslie Barker in New Orleans LA. has passed away October 8th, 2022, after a long hard fight with pancreatic cancer. Buck moved to Indiana in the late 80’s with his parents and 3 siblings. In 1988 he met his wife Dusti & Married in 1996. Together they had 4 beautiful children and built a life full of love and laughter. In those years he found the love for Ironworking that would become the foundation for his successes in life. Buck would go on to become one of the BEST Journeyman Iron workers of his time. Fearlessly helping to create some of Indiana’s most renowned building structures such as; Conseco Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium and one of the family favorites is the dinosaurs that you see sticking out of the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. These are just a few of the amazing places that Buck was able to put the bones into.

Buck loved to take his daughter fishing and play football with his 3 sons. Buck loved to Fish, Paint, Travel, Camp & BBQ with family and friends, anything that meant us coming together. Football and cornhole was a Sunday must!

Buck truly loved his family and lived his life to the fullest. Buck will always be remembered and dearly missed by his wife of 26 years Dusti Barker; His 4 children Chris Barker, Kyle Barker, Dustin Barker, & Skylia Barker; His 10 Grandchildren Jonathon, Braylin, Roman, Isabella, Graysin, Amelia, Zailey, Emma, Liam and Serenity; His 3 Siblings Charlene Barker, Thomas Barker, & Chasity Barker; As well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, and Friends. We love you, Buck! Go climb the tallest beam you can find and watch down on us, until we see you again XOXO.  Service for Buck will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022at 1:30 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home with burial to follow at Round Hill Cemetery.
