Ellen Frances Scott

Ellen Frances Scott, 69, of McCordsville, IN, passed away on July 29, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN.  Ellen was born on January 27, 1954, in Rushville, IN, to the late Hugh and Frances (Adams) Morgan. She was a devoted daycare owner/provider for many years as she absolutely loved kids.  She was a member of Center Christian Church.

Ellen’s loves were bountiful, but here are a few highlighted – her children and grandchildren (she was a bit of a mama bear when needed), flowers/plants, hummingbirds, cardinals, sewing/cross-stitch, camping/nature and fishing, anything nostalgic – especially fine china (her pretties) and retro kitchenware.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; her husband, James Scott; and grandchild, Savannah Castle.

Ellen is survived by her children, Johnathon Scott (David), Kasmin Espenlaub (Ryan), Amber Castle (Jay), and Katie Scott; grandchildren, Ellianna, Madeleine, Charlotte, Zoe, Esme’, Sydney and Skylar; siblings, David Morgan, Linda Weaver, Nancy Erwin, Beth Andrews and Mary Morgan; and partner in life, Neil Kercheval; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Center Christian Church, 9112 N. County Road 50 W, Knightstown, IN 46148.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
