Dwight Allen Barr

Dwight Allen Barr, age 77, of Anderson, passed away after a brief illness on June 22, 2019.

Dwight was born on April 23, 1942 in Anderson, Indiana where he resided his whole life. Dwight never knew a stranger. He loved and enjoyed all his friends and family. He had a great appreciation for cars, sports, and a passion for traveling. Dwight was a graduate of Anderson High School class of 1960. He retired from Delco Remy-Delphi after almost 40 years.

Dwight was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his son Dennis Barr; his parents, Clifford and Mary Barr; and sister, Charlotte Bates.

Dwight is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Barr; his son, John Jeffery (Amy) Barr; step-son, Rick Craig; step-daughter Terri Craig; grandchildren Tiffany Barr, Alexis Barr, and Colin Barr; great-granddaughter Olivia Catherine Barr; Siblings John “Budd” Barr, Kathryn (Paul) Pratt, Gary (Cathy) Barr, Ruthie (Jim) Barbre, Debra Walker, and Dan (Darcy) Barr; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was performed, and a Celebration of Life will be held for Dwight at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson, 504 W 9^th Street, Anderson, IN, on July 12^th, 2019 from 3-6pm.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions can be made in Dwight’s honor to the Animal Protection League of Anderson, IN.
