Douglas Ray Taylor

November 1, 1942 — October 7, 2022

Indianapolis, Indiana

Douglas Ray Taylor, 79, lost his battle of 7 years to Multiple Myeloma on October 7, 2020.  He fought a good fight, but the cancer was stronger.

He was born in Monticello, KY, to James and Flossie Taylor on November 1, 1942.  After a very interesting childhood, he went into the Army.  After his term was up, he moved to Indiana for a better life.  Working several different jobs after coming here, he got a job at National Starch at ground level and worked his way up to the testing lab (he was very proud of himself.)

After 30 years of service, he retired to take care of his ailing wife, Linda.  Years after her passing, Doug met the love of his life, Teresa.  Together they enjoyed life their way, doing whatever they wanted.

With God’s blessing and grace, they were able to fight the fight and still enjoy life.  He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and neighbors.

Thanks to all for their support.
