Doris Jean Mcmahel Wright

Doris Jean McMahel Wright, 90, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on December 8, 2022.  Doris was born on December 17, 1931, in Crawford County, IN to the late Albert and Flossie (Beck) McMahel.  Doris married Robert Eugene Wright in September of 1960, and was a homemaker for many years.

Doris loved being involved with Stephen Ministries.  She would take a day or so a week and visit people who were stay-at-home types.  Doris enjoyed gardening and loved sitting out on her deck with her husband, Bob, as they read books.  She loved taking care of her cats and others in the community and enjoyed visiting Holly Hock Hill for a delicious chicken dinner.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, mentioned above.

Doris is survived by her nephew, John Gelsosomo (Katrina); and her wonderful neighbors, Mike and Steve.

Visitation will be from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, with a service to start at 1:30pm.  Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
