Donnie Gene Collins

Donnie Gene Collins, 62, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2026. He was born October 10, 1963, in Huntington, Indiana, to William and Elizabeth Collins.

Donnie graduated from New Castle High School in 1984 and later made his home in Anderson to be closer to his family. He was outgoing and had a love for sports and wrestling. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams — the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, and the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed bowling on a league with his brother, Ronnie, at Cooper’s Sports Bowl.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry (Deborah) Collins; twin brother, Ronnie Collins; niece, Elizabeth (Kyle) Perkins; great-nephews, Tobias, Maverick, and Wyatt Perkins; and Aunts, Mary Reed, Alice (Domer) James, and Shirley Dunkin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Collins, and his sister, Janice Sue Collins.

A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.

Donnie will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
