Donald Robert Hatfield Jr

Donald “Donnie” Robert Hatfield, Jr. 61 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on August 7, 2023 in Indianapolis. Donnie was born on January 30, 1962 in Indianapolis to Donald Robert Hatfield Sr and Joanne Wycoff-Johnston.

Donnie was a beloved individual who always had a smile on his face and a laugh that was infectious. If you had the pleasure of knowing Donnie, you undoubtedly loved him.

Donnie graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1980 and went on to join the United States Army where he served his country for 5 years.

He is survived by his loving mother, Joanne Wycoff-Johnston (Larry); and his sisters Debbie Yount (Mike) and Terri Mitchell (Chris).  Donnie also leaves behind a son, Chase Chambers, a niece, a nephew and a great niece.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Hatfield, Sr; his sons Michael Shane Hayes and Benjamin Daniel Hatfield, and his grandparents on both sides.

A private service will be held by the family to honor and remember Donnie. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the George T. Goodwin Center, located at 3935 W. Mooresville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46221.  Donations this charitable organization will help support this organization who in turn helped to support him.

Donnie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those how knew him, and he will be deeply missed but his spirit and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten.
