Diana Springer

Diana Kay Springer, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 27th, 2023, in her home with family by her side, after a tough battle with lung cancer and lung disease. Diana is survived by her husband Carl Springer II, Daughter Ashley Springer, Son Carl Springer III (Amber) and grandchildren Carl IV (Rowe) and Audrey, along with many special nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Barbara Johnson, Brother Larry Johnson, sisters Rita Sloan, Nancy Hannett, and Donna Presnell.

Diana was born on March 30, 1963. She was a life lifelong resident of Indianapolis and big fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Diana and Carl were married on June 28^th, 1986, a true example of love and partnership, remaining together until the time of her passing where he was by her side. Diana and Carl raised both of their children together in their home, that Diana picked knowing it was the one, in Indianapolis, where they would go on to host countless gatherings for family and friends over the years. There was always a seat at Diana’s table for anyone.   She was a hard worker, working at Fortis Benefit, followed by Lawerence township schools as a bus driver until retirement. She loved spending time at the IGW rec club camping with family and enjoying riding in the boat and cruses with Carl on their Harley. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, never hesitating to get right down in the floor to play with them and sneaking them all their favorite candies.

Diana’s undeclared mission in life was to take care of her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and wife. She showed immense love for her children, always willing to take on any load to lighten yours. Diana was the first to be there when a friend or family member needed help. She loved to host parties and holidays for all sides of her family (and friends) where she was the glue that brought us all together. There will always be a piece of hearts missing that only she could fill and she will be greatly missed.
