On Sunday, July 13th, 2025, Diana Katherine Humphrey (Searcy) left this world and stepped into eternal peace, cradled in the hands of her Lord and Savior. She was 40 years old.
Born on September 7, 1984, Diana was a radiant light — full of fire, compassion, and creativity. Her presence was magnetic, unforgettable to everyone who had the gift of knowing her. With a sharp mind and an even sharper wit, she could make you laugh through your tears. She had a voice that could hush a room, a smile that lit up every space she entered, and a spirit so uniquely wild, loving, and fierce that it couldn’t be contained. Diana loved deeply and gave freely, often to those who needed it most.
Though her journey held many battles, Diana met each one with courage and a resilience that inspired everyone around her. She lived her life with fierce love — and nothing captured that more than the devotion she poured into her greatest purpose: being a mother.
Diana leaves behind her four beloved children — Mason (18), Carter (16), Briar (7), and Grace (6) — each one a reflection of her strength, tenderness, and joy. They were her heart, her reason, her everything. In them, her legacy lives on — bright, bold, and full of promise.
She is also survived by her loving parents, Rosalba Searcy (Oscar) and Martin Searcy (Pamela), who stood by her through every season of life. Her siblings, Tracy and Bryant, were not just family, but lifelong companions in love and loyalty. Diana was also deeply loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends — all of whom carry her memory in the stories they tell, the love they continue to give, and the space she left behind that can never truly be filled.
She now joins her dear grandmothers, Edith Searcy and Dina Bolanos, in Heaven — women who helped shape her spirit and whose arms are now wrapped around her once more.
A celebration of Diana’s life will be held on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 1604 West Morris Street, Indianapolis, IN 46221, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Calvary and Holy Cross Cemetery, 435 West Troy Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225. As she wished, she will be laid to rest close to her beloved Mami Dina.
In her final days, Diana was surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others throughout her life. That love, returned tenfold, is a testament to the impact she made — not only as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend — but as a soul who lived with great heart, who gave without expecting in return, and who reminded others that even the most delicate hearts could still be the strongest.
We hold tightly to the words of Isaiah 41:10:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Diana’s spirit was a gift. Her love was fierce. Her life was a song — unfinished, but unforgettable. May she rest in the deepest peace, surrounded by light and love.
