Debra Sue Setters Civils, 65 of Indianapolis died July 31. She was born on November 29, 1956 to Benjamin Lee Setters and Sue Kathryn Horton Setters in Covington KY. Debbie was married to her husband, Kenneth Civils, on August 29, 1982.

Debbie was an animal lover and a avid rider of Tennessee Walking Horses. Debbie and Kenny spent many years training and showing horses while creating life long friendships. They enjoyed decades of success in the show ring and 35 years of marriage.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, sister Linda Setters Dorsey, sister-in-law Connie Tandy, father-in-law and mother-in-law Harold and Joyce Civils. She is survived by niece Jamie (Ryan) Daming, nephews Josh (Heidy) Tandy and Jacob (Lisa) Tandy, brothers-in-law Bill Dorsey and Jim Tandy, and great nieces and nephews Grace Daming, Madeline Daming, Lily Daming, Isaac Tandy, Miller Tandy, Clara Tandy, Duncan Tandy, and Ruthie Tandy.

The surviving family appreciates Debbie’s wide network of friends who prayed for her and offered their support over the past few years. A graveside memorial service will be held at Orchard Hill Cemetery, 8946 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 11 am.  The family welcomes all to join. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood , IN 46143.
