Deborah Lynn Kopp Creech Zimmerman

August 1, 1961 — September 4, 2025

Debbie was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Kellie and Clayton Kopp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Zimmerman; her mother Kellie Helsley; father, Clayton Kopp; and stepfather, Fred Helsley.

She is survived by her sisters, Venita Fraze (Jerry Fraze), Tina Nichols (Mike Nichols), and Kellie Wilcox (Robert Wilcox); nephews, Steven Fraze, Tyler Blevins, Fred Holtzclaw, Alex Holtzclaw, Charles Wilcox, and Elijah Wilcox, Ethan Wilcox; nieces, Brittany Byrne, Erica Holtzclaw, Kimberly Wilcox, Karen Wilcox; great nephews, Gage Holland and TJ Byrne.

Debbie was always so full of life and never met a stranger. She was loved by many.

She was a truckdriver in her younger years. She was in an accident and totaled a semi. After that, she would say she was Semi-Retired. LOL. She worked at Gatorade for many years; 70-80 hours most weeks. After she was disabled. She enjoyed working for Just4Kids, where she met so many friends who came to love her.

She shared a close bond with Tina Thomas, Connie Hehring, and Linda Miller for well over 30 years.

While each of us feels the weight of this loss as we grieve together, I hope we can all reflect on what made Debbie so special to all of us.

When I think of Debbie, these words come to mind: fun, loving, caring, and honest. These words only begin to describe the remarkable person she was.

Each of us have our own memories of how Debbie shared her love, wisdom, and humor with us. I’m sure you could each add your own stories—your own words, because she touched all of us in unique ways.

She had a passion and love for her animals! She found joy in friendship and helping others and truly made the most of her time spent with friends and family. She enjoyed playing bingo every Tuesday.

Debbie loved deeply and cherished every moment spent with her friends, leaving behind countless memories that we will all hold in our hearts.

More than anything, Debbie was special! She mattered! She lived a life full of meaning and the impact she made on all of our lives will never be forgotten.
