Debbie Staton

Deborah Elaine Staton, affectionately known as Deb/Debbie passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 in Indianapolis Indiana, at the age of 57.

Debbie was born on July 21, 1968, in Sturgis, Michigan and was the beloved daughter of Delmar and Thayma Lewis. She lived most of her adult life in Indianapolis, where she built a home filled with love, laughter, and strength.

Debbie dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She touched countless lives with her selfless heart, resilient spirit, and unwavering compassion. Her family and friends will remember her as someone who gave without asking and loved unconditionally.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Staton; her two children, Joshua Staton and Tyler (Eric Sanchez) Staton and her grandson, Leo Sanchez. Debbie is also survived by her siblings Bob Lewis, Dana Beringer, and Trice Greene as well as many dear and loved nieces and nephews.

Deb found happiness in the simple joys of life—traveling to new places, gathering around the table for a game of Yahtzee, and above all else, she was a die-hard Michigan fan and loyal Colts supporter. Her strength, kindness, and sense of humor will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A celebration of life for Deb will be held on October 10, 2025, at the VFW starting at 5:30PM. Family and friends are welcome to come together to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you carry Debbie’s spirit forward by doing something kind for someone else—just as she always did.
