David Wayne Stodghill

David Wayne Stodghill, 57, of Gosport, IN, passed away on March 6th, 2022. He was born on September 14th, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN. David graduated from Warren Central High School in 1982. David had an efficient work ethic and worked seven days a week. His profession was installation of flooring, carpet, and tile. He was exceptional at his career. In David’s extra time, you wouldn’t see him without his Harley. His lifestyle was based on the adventure of feeling free on his motorcycle. His passion went beyond just his motorcycle. Most people know him for all his Harley shirts, jackets, and other apparel. Besides the things that were most apparent to David’s life and physical traits, there was a side of him that few people were lucky enough to see. David wasn’t just a man who worked and loved Harleys. He was an inspiring man. Someone who never let the negative get to anyone. If you were upset or down in the dump, he knew exactly what to say. His smile could light up an entire room. David was someone who would tell you exactly how to fix a problem. He spread happiness to many people through laughter and smiles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leroy Stodghill and Gayle Yvonne Stodghill; and his loving brother, Michael Stodghill.
David is survived by his children, Jeffrey Stodghill, Brittney Stodghill, Sarah Stodghill (Brandon Watson), and Hailey Stodghill (Brady Bowers); step children, Amber Settles, Rhyan Ball, Jamie Browning, Shelby Phelps, and Amanda Browning, Blake Phelps; grandchildren, Jayden Stodghill, Layla Neace, Carter Watson, and Ava Watson; and best friend/companion, Melissa Stodghill. His death is also survived by many of David’s friends and coworkers along his journey.

Visitation will be from 4pm-5pm on Friday, March 11th, 2022, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN with the service to start at 5pm at the funeral home. David’s final resting place will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hailey Stodghill to help with funeral and burial expenses.
