David "Tony" Cringle

David Patt Anthony Michael Cringle, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 17, 2023.  David, also known as Tony, was born on April 17, 1941, in Indianapolis to the late William Cringle and Sondra Verdie (Spencer) Heiline.  He graduated from Knightstown High School.  Tony was a master journey wireman. He was initiated in 1960 to the IBEW Union Local 41.

Tony was an avid bass fisherman and gun collector.  He was a member of Bass Searchers and National Rifle Association (Yellow Cabinet) Gun Club Member.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sondra Heinline; father, William Cringle; sister, Constance Perkins; and his first wife of 30 years, Judith Cringle.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sharon Cringle; children, Christopher Cringle (Mary) of Lantana, FL, Toni Brooks, and Gretchen Pettis; step-daughter, Sherry Tetlow (John); grandchildren, Michael Cringle, Madison Cringle, Nicholas Cringle, Nicky Tetlow, Joey Tetlow, Ashley Brooks, Eric Smith, Jonathan Geer, Jacob Geer, Jason Geer, Brookelynn Thomas, Madison Grisham, and Samiah Pettis; great grandchildren, Khalila Hankerson, Ayden Geer, Sharke Geer, Connor Geer, Beckham Geer, Bella Geer, Kiera Geer, and Myla Geer; brother-in-law, Tim Greene (Carol); and niece, Theresa Gerike.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 3pm on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Geist Reservoir.  Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
