David Rhodes

David L. Rhodes, 75, peacefully passed away in his sleep on December 6, 2022, at home in Anderson, Indiana after a brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer.

David was born in Richmond, Indiana to William Rhodes and Doris (Bellew) Fox on December 14, 1946. After graduating from Eastern Hancock High School in 1965, he went on to serve his country in the Air Force. After leaving the service, he worked as a metal fabricator for many years before his retirement and enjoyed reading science fiction and watching western movies.

David was preceded in death by his parents William and Doris.

David is survived by his children Travis Denney and his wife Juli of Albany, KY, Dona “Susie” Rhodes and her partner Sean Smith of Fortville, IN and Joshua Rhodes and his partner Amanda Patrick of Anderson, IN; his 6 grandchildren; his sisters Marlene Deviese of Crandall, GA and Karen Harmon of Greenfield, IN; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

No funeral services are being held at this time. However, a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a future date yet to be determined. David’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and hospice providers who all provided wonderful care during his illness.
