David M. Meyers

David M Meyers, 64, of Lawrence IN passed away Monday, May 18, 2020. He was born May 31, 1955 in Indianapolis IN to Herman and Helen Meyers (Squires) who preceded him in death. David was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, graduating from Lawrence Central High School in 1974. He worked for Lawrence Township for 35 years as a custodian, finishing his career there in Central Maintenance. He retired in October 2019. He was a board member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church Youth Corps, a board member for the Lawrence Community Development Corporation, and was appointed to the Lawrence Utility board. David was preceded in death by his sister Rebecca L Meyers. He is survived by his wife Sherryl Meyers (Koehring), daughter Jessica Meyers, stepson Bryan King (Christina), nephew Daniel Meyers (Cathy), 6 grandchildren, and a great nephew. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N Shadeland Avenue. Due to Covid restrictions, visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles and drive past the viewing area. There will be a private graveside service restricted to the immediate family only. Please donate to the Leukemia/Lymphoma society in David’s name in lieu of flowers.
