David Jonathan Knight

David Jonathan Knight, born on October 12, 2009, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Beech Grove, Indiana.

David will be lovingly remembered for his infectious smile, his playful mischief, and his boundless love of music. He enjoyed swimming and roughhousing with friends and family. Despite the challenges posed by his condition, he met each obstacle with a smile, inspiring those around him with his resilience.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: Dan and Cindy Knight, Robert and Pauline (Rader) Tucker, and Otto and Lois (Koughn) Knight.

David is survived by his devoted parents, Gordon and Deborah (Tucker) Knight; siblings, Jeremy and Miranda (Proietti) Knight, Aaron and Kristen (Knight) Copple, Alex and Jennifer (Heaver) Knight, Hayden Knight, Wade Blythe and Dylan Arehart; nieces, Ava Knight and Savannah Knight; nephew, Ryder Knight. Also by his girlfriend, Olivia, his Mama Erin Knight, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on April 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at The Salvation Army Eagle Creek, located at 4400 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46254. This will be followed immediately by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, his family has kindly requested donations in memory to The Salvation Army or Rise Learning Center. For those unable to attend in person, the memorial gathering will be live-streamed from The Salvation Army Eagle Creek’s Facebook page.
