David Glass

David L. Glass of Crawfordsville, IN passed away on April 26, 2024, at the age of 70. David was born in Gary, IN to Davee Glass and Helen Ray on June 9, 1953. He grew up in Valparaiso, IN and graduated Valparaiso High School in 1971.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 1975, which is also where he met his wife, Mary.  David was a computer programmer analyst for many years. Once Mary received her medical degree, David became a stay-at-home dad for their two children, Kristen and David.

David took pride in his merit as an Eagle Scout and remained an avid hunter and fisherman through his life. His scouting achievements stayed with him through his love for camping and rebuilding everything from computers to engines. There was nothing that David could not fix.  

David is preceded in death by his father, Davee Glass.

Survived by his wife, Mary (Countryman) Glass; children, Kristen Glass and David Glass (Brittany); mother, Helen Glass; sister, Cheree Calabro; brothers, Alan and John; and grand-dog, Finn.  David leaves many memories for friends and family to share.  

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in David’s memory to The Indiana Sportsmen’s Benevolence Fund or the charity of your choice. Cremation Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.  David’s final resting place will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington, IN.
