David "DJ" Felland II, born on October 6, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 7, 2025, in Greenfield, Indiana. He leaves behind a legacy as a dedicated caregiver, a passionate artist, and a talented musician.
A creative spirit, David made a significant impact in his community through his artistic endeavors. His Project XL art garnered widespread notoriety. DJ's artistic influence extended to the local skate parks, where he not only designed but also fostered the talent of young skaters. Skateboarding was not merely a hobby for him; it was a lifelong passion that served as the foundation of his community.
In addition to his artistic abilities, DJ was a gifted musician. He showed talent with the acoustic guitar, violin, and ukulele. His rendition of Tiptoe Through the Tulips brought laughter to friends and family. David found inspiration in the worlds created by Hunter S. Thompson and PeeWee Herman, and their philosophies resonated deeply with his vibrant spirit.
He is survived by his mother, Carla Kelle; stepfather, Kevin Kelle; father, David Felland, Sr.; sister, Olivia Felland; two step-sisters, Lesley Kelle and Crystal Perry; grandfather, David Felland; bonus mom, Diana Lifford; and bonus brother, Matt Lifford.
A visitation in honor of his unique presence will take place on November 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 5215 Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46226.
