David L. Bowman

Mr. David L. Bowman of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the age of 74. Mr. Bowman was born August 14, 1949, in Indianapolis, to Reba and Quardel Bowman. Mr. Bowman was one of 6 children, with 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Mr. Bowman spent almost all of his life in the Indianapolis area, notwithstanding a short-lived move out of state. Mr. Bowman never felt more comfortable than when he was home in Indiana.

Mr. Bowman was able to maintain the quiet and peaceful life that he wanted with the love and support of his brother William, and William’s children, Brad Bowman and Kelly Clawson.

After brother William’s passing, David’s sisters, niece and nephew Brad and Kelly, nephew Ken McCallister, and a network of supporters, caregivers, guardians, and advocates ensured that Mr. Bowman was able to remain comfortable and content as the years went on, and ultimately, until his peaceful passing.

Mr. Bowman is survived by his sisters, Angie Foster, Carol Calbert, and Kathy DeLeonardis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reba and Quardel Bowman, as well as brothers William Thomas Bowman, and Richard Allen Bowman.
