Darrell Eugene Neff

Darrell Eugene Neff, age 73, of Anderson, passed away at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital on October 26, 2022. He was born to Harold Neff and Bessie Brooks on July 21, 1949.

Darrell worked as a traveling truck driver for many years. He later went to school to become a gunsmith. He was a man that always had a gun on his hip and cowboy hat on his head. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Darrell never met a stranger, loved to give hugs, and was always willing to help anyone he could. He was a true animal lover, always having a rescue dog at home.

Darrell was a true giver, wanting to donate his body to science until the very end. He was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and was a dedicated member of Main Street Church of God for many years. Faith was extremely important to him. Darrell was a wonderful husband, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ruth Neff; Mother Bessie Dunson; siblings Tammy Smith, Dennis Neff (Myra), and Teresa Hopper; nephews Daniel Smith, Franklin Smith Jr and Reimarc Bagaoisan; nieces Selenia Smith and Marla Bagaoisan; great-niece Alexandra Smith; special friend Chris and his beloved Pastor Don Billey.

He is preceded in death by his father Harold Neff; Dad Hobert Clifford Dunson; brother-in-law Franklin Smith Sr., and several aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Main Street Church of God at a later date.
