Darin A. Jones

Darin A. Jones, age 56 of Muncie, IN, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on March 9, 2023. He was born on Janaury 4, 1967 in Muncie, IN. The son of Dan E. Jones and Judy (Walsh) Pickett.

Darin attended Muncie Central High School, where he enjoyed auto shop class. He loved etymology and the Greek and Latin Language.

He married his high school girlfriend, Tanya Willoughby on October 18, 1986. That marriage came to an end in 1988. Darin never remarried.

His hobbies included playing role playing games. In his past, he was an avid Axis and Allies and Dungeons and Dragons player. He then moved to computer role playing games, such as Asheron’s Call and World of Warcraft. He enjoyed gardening. He loved cooking for other people and always worried about their feedback. He was an animal lover and obsessed over his cats.

He had an inappropriate sense of humor and wanted everyone around him to be happy. He was always an honest and dependable person. If he said he was going to do something, he did it. He would give you his last dollar. He cared more for other people than he did himself.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother Eileen Walsh. Along with a host of extended family members.

He is survived by his brother Danny “Brian” Jones; daughter Danielle (Jones) Bedwell (Tim); grandchildren MaKayla, Kyle, MaKenzy, Elijah, Anniston, Sophia, and Cainin (All residing in Muncie); and many other family, friends, and loved ones.

Details of Celebration of Life are to be determined and will be announces via Facebook as an event.

Darin’s wishes were to be cremated and his daughter to take him with her to the big party/celebration of life that will be hosted by Troy and Lori Ingram. No formal funeral services will be held.
