Danny Kay Walker

Danny Kay Walker, age 76, currently residing in Anderson, passed away at his home on August 5, 2023. He was born in New Castle, IN on January 25, 1947, to the late Charlie and Mary (Sidwell) Walker.

Danny served in the United States Army before retiring as an engineer with General Motors for over 40 years. He was a proud member of Ford Street Church and enjoyed attending. He loved to spend his time fishing, boating, camping, horses, and most importantly, loving on his grandchildren. His grand and great-grandchildren were truly the light of his life. Family was everything to Danny. He was fun-loving, a jokester, and truly one-of-a-kind. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Danny is survived by his son Jonathan Walker (Leisa); son-in-law Jeff Cotton; grandchildren Zachary Walker (Kaycee), Taylor Walker (Scott), Norah Cotton, Silas Cotton, Cameron Dowling, Brooke Hallam, Parker Shock, Leslie Smith (Nick), Chris Shock (Brandi), Tara Sheets (Casey), and Megan Parke; great-grandchildren Ellie Epperly, Nolan Hedgecraft, and Harrison Hedgecraft and several other great-grandchildren; brother Lee Walker; and best friend Becky Walker.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and daughter Rachel J. Cotton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 12, 2023, at Ford Street Church in Lapel, IN at 1pm. Pastor Jill Moffett will be officiating.
