Daniel Neal Waldrep, 65, of Anderson, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on October 31st, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 7, 1959, in Anderson, to Clarence and Mary Waldrep.
Growing up, Daniel was his father’s fishing buddy and loved camping and spending time outdoors. Known for his quiet, peaceful spirit, he enjoyed life’s simple moments and carried a gentle presence with him everywhere he went.
Daniel graduated from Anderson High School in 1977 and dedicated nearly 30 years to serving as a correctional officer at Pendleton Correctional Facility. He was a loyal sports fan, cheering faithfully for the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Pacers, and Chicago Cubs. In his downtime, he enjoyed classic action films featuring John Wayne, Harrison Ford, and Elvis Presley. He also shared a special bond with his nephew, Clarence Griese.
Daniel is survived by his siblings Rick Owens, Beverly Griese, Terry (Vanessa) Waldrep, David Waldrep, Shari (Kirk) Mullins, Kevin (Sherrie) Waldrep, and Carol (Jack) Taylor; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Waldrep, and sister, Teresa Parke.
Legacy Cremation & Funeral Service is honored to care for Daniel and his family during this time. A visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service to begin at 12:00 p.m officiated by Gary Woodring.
Daniel will be remembered for his steady strength, quiet kindness, and the love he had for his family. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
