Daniel Lee Auble

Dan “Pops” was born December 24, 1948 in Boulder, Colorado and passed away August 9, 2025. Pops enjoyed helping people any way he could and making people laugh. Pops had quite the sense of humor! He also enjoyed HAM radios, airplanes and submarines, woodworking, fishing, tinkering, nature, classical and instrumental music, boating, history, space, his grandson AJ and his grand dogs, Maverick, Charlie and Lucy.

Pops retired from Naval Avionics after 40 years.

Pops had a quiet strength, he was gentle and strong as an ox at the same time. Pops had a long, hard road in later years with his health, but he never gave up. He smiled and told jokes at every single appointment.

Pops favorite thing in life was spending time with his children, grandchild, and grand dogs. Pops will be forever missed and loved by his two children, Heather (Matt Love), Brandon (Angel Ray) grandson Alexander and two grand dogs, Charlie and Lucy.

Pops was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Bob Auble, brother Randy Auble, nephews Matthew and James Auble, and grand dog Maverick.

Memorial contributions can be made to Dementia Society of America or Love of Labs, Indiana. Private services will be held at a later date.
