Clay W. Reed

Clay Willis Reed, 65 of Indianapolis, Indiana lost his battle with cancer July 18, 2023. He was born on January 22, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Ronald W. Reed and Beverly J. Harrell. On his final day, he was surrounded by his wife, children, family, and spouses who he adored more than anything else in the world.

Clay will be remembered as a strong man.  When he was handed the diagnosis of cancer, he managed his illness with strength and grace, as he did with all his life experiences. He made sure that he spent as much time with his loved ones as possible.

Clay was a man you couldn’t keep down. He always stayed busy and enjoyed the outdoors. You could find him building things, working in his garden, and camping.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Tresa Reed, siblings; Randy (Debora) Reed, Diane (Rick) Youngblood, children; Krisiti (Ricky Bray) Reed, Derrick (Stephanie) Reed, Joshua (Stacy Smith) Reed, Jake (Ali Nemeth) Reed, Tanner Moore, and Harlie Hays, grandchildren; Kaleigh, Khloe, Kendall, Levi, Mason, Helena, Conner, Emmi, River, and Faith.

Clay was preceded in death by his father Ronald Willis Reed and his mother Beverly Jo Harrell.

Services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis. Location is 1604 W. Morris Street.

Visitation will be held from 1:30pm until time of funeral services at 4:00pm.
