Christie Ellen Weesner, a beloved wife, mother, and Mimi, sadly passed away at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2026. Born on October 11, 1975, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Christie radiated warmth and compassion, touching the lives of everyone she met.
Christie recently worked as a receptionist and service advisor for MEP Fleet Care within Edwards Electrical & Mechanical, where she cherished the opportunity to work alongside her husband and one of her daughters. Prior to this, she devoted nearly 17 years of her life to Indiana Members Credit Union, serving with distinction as an Account Service Representative and Teller Supervisor, building relationships and providing excellent service to customers.
A proud graduate of Ben Davis High School, class of 1995, Christie dedicated herself to her family above all else. She often said that being a wife, mother, and Mimi were her proudest accomplishments, and she poured her heart into nurturing these roles. Christie found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially during “Girls Days” with her daughters, where they shared moments of laughter while shopping and enjoying manicures together.
Christie had a special fondness for the sunshine and beach, often referring to Florida as her "happy place." She looked forward to vacations there, where she created lasting memories with her family. Her hobbies brought her great joy; she delighted in collecting purses, listening to '80s music, scrapbooking, tanning, and attending concerts and comedy shows. The annual events for the Indy 500 and I.U. Football games were also highlights in her calendar, filled with love and excitement.
At the heart of Christie’s life was her deep love for her family. She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 13 years, Timothy Weesner. Christie leaves behind her daughters Cheyenne (Mark) Asmus, Sierra (Matthew) Kunce, and Karina Weesner, as well as stepchildren Isaac and Alayna. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, including Myra and a grandbaby expected in August 2026. Christie is also survived by her mother, Carol Upton; father, Charles Timothy Shick; mother-in-law, Donna Young; brother, Tim Shick; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Richard) Swinney; and grandmother, Helen Frisbie.
Christie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Riley Shick; step-grandmother, Shirley Shick; grandmother, Lois Shick; great-grandmother, Luria Drake; great-grandfather, Scott Drake; and grandfathers William Frisbie and Clyde Edwards.
As we remember Christie Ellen Weesner, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
Family and friends that may want to send flowers, Christies favorite flowers were tropical.
Please do not have flowers sent to the funeral home.
