Cheryl Ann Wiseman, born on April 18, 1959, in Union City, Indiana, to Harold and Alice Keel, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2025.
A 1978 graduate of Highland High School, Cheryl dedicated over two decades to her family’s restaurant, The Outpost, before becoming an assistant manager at Ponderosa until its closing. In retirement, she stayed active, working part-time for Merry Maids.
For the past 35 years, Cheryl shared her life with the love of her life, Frank Wiseman. Reflecting on their time together, Frank said, "She was the light that guided me. No matter what, there was always a bright side with her. She was the kindest, most generous woman I've ever known—always putting others first and ready to help at a moment's notice."
Cheryl had a warmth that drew people in; she never met a stranger. She loved working around the house and yard, always finding joy in making a space feel like home. Her son shared, "She was the kindest, most loving person you would ever meet. Nothing exemplifies that more than how she stepped up to care for others, family or not. She wanted everyone around her to be happy and made sure everyone felt welcome at our family gatherings. She often said her greatest accomplishment was her children, and there was no doubt she loved us more than anything in the world."
Beyond her devotion to family, Cheryl found happiness in the simple joys of life—cuddling with her dogs, competitive games of pool and euchre (with plenty of smack talk), and surrounding herself with the people she loved. She brought a love to this world that will be missed beyond measure.
Cheryl is survived by husband, Frank Wiseman; daughter Alicia (Bracken) Wertz; son Joshua (Marci) Duc; granddaughter Braylie Wertz; siblings Butch (Donna) Keel and Judy (Kerry) Luzader; Devon Keel and several nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Harold and Alice Keel and sister Kathy Janet Keel.
Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love leave a lasting impact on all who knew her. Cheryl's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to be part of her world.
A visitation will be held on Thursday February 27, 2025, from 2-4pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services - Anderson.
