Cheryl A. House, age 75, of Anderson, passed away at Bethany Point Nursing Home on November 30, 2022. She was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Lester and Mary Ruggles on February 28, 1947.
Throughout life, Cheryl had several jobs but her longest was working at Frisch’s Restaurant as a waitress for 24+ years. She was a dedicated wife and mother, raising her 4 children selflessly. She was sassy, quick-witted, and truly a simple presence in any room she was in. Family was everything to her and she always made sure that everyone she loved was taken care of. She loved John Wayne and enjoyed watching old cowboy TV shows. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cheryl is survived by her children Kim Price (Ron Barkdull), Kori Thomas (Leroy), and Troy House; grandchildren Brandi Quinn (Austin), Ellis Ritchie (Whitney), Abby Huthmaker (Caleb), Bethany Thomas, and Troy House Jr.; great-grandchildren Ella ad Emmi Regenold, Evynn and Endie Quinn, and Willa and Walker Ritchie; brother Curt Ruggles; nieces and nephews Leslie Coates, Shane Ruggles, and Sonja Ruggles-Joy; and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her long time significant other George Edgell, parents listed above, son Tommy House, sister Peggy Nelson, and nephew Patrick Nelson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bethany Point Nursing Home in their exceptional care and compassion towards Cheryl.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indiana Christian Academy in Anderson, Indiana in memory of Cheryl.
A visitation will be held on Sunday December 4, 2022, from 1-4pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson with a funeral service following on Monday December 5, 2022, at 11am. Burial will take place at Miller’s Cemetery in Middletown, Indiana.
