Charles R. Padgett Obituary
We announce with great sadness the passing of Charles “Chuck” Padgett, 61, of Indianapolis, IN, on May 12th, 2022. Chuck died suddenly of natural causes in his home in his native and beloved Indy. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mary Padgett. His daughter Julianne Shelby, brother Bob Brenner and sister Marabeth “Mara” Owens remain to mourn his loss, along with his aunt, several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and many more friends. He will be deeply missed.
Chuck was born on February 27, 1961, in Indianapolis, IN. He moved to Connecticut with his family at a young age, graduated with the Shelton High School class of 1979, and attended the University of Rhode Island. Chuck lived in both Connecticut and Louisiana before ultimately returning to Indianapolis. At the time of his passing he owned and operated Arrow Tax and Accounting with his business partner and very dear friend Tari Murray.
Chuck adored golfing and especially fishing–fly fishing, deep sea fishing, in any kind of fishing he found a way to relax and connect with nature. He was always fascinated by his environment, and loved learning about the natural and political histories of the places he moved through. Chuck was a voracious reader and music aficionado who held expansive tastes in both domains. He loved engaging in repartee with others and sharing facts from his broad base of knowledge. Chuck treasured his cat companions Buster and Missy, who are still in loving hands.
We are planning a celebration of Chuck’s life, and as details become available we will notify family and friends.
