Charity Summer Schussler

Charity Summer Schussler, age 43, of Anderson, passed away on December 11, 2022, after a long battle with Crohn’s disease. She was born on December 29, 1978, to Larry Dean Brewer and Mary Ann (Kearns) Kocher.

Charity was a proud advocate for people with any terminal illness. She was a part of making CRPS Day a day of awareness and has several certificates signed by the mayor for her contribution. She served as an ambassador for the U.S. Pain Foundation, made cards for terminally ill people around the world, and was dedicated to bringing awareness to people around her. Charity loved to draw and had a strong artistic ability. She was outgoing, friendly, and would give you the shirt off her back. She did not know a stranger and always put others before herself. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Charity is survived by her husband of 19 years, Chris Schussler; children Jon Schussler and Cheyenne Schussler, grandson Hayden Linville, mother Mary Ann (Kearns) Kocher; siblings Jason Brewer (Ricki), Nathan Brewer, and Darrell Brewer; aunts and uncles Donna Abney (Nick), Johnny Kearns (Brenda), Floyd Kearns, Buddy Kearns, and Nellie Pennington; Grandmother Kathleen Kearns; father-in-law Frank Schussler; and brother-in-law Randy Schussler.

She is preceded in death by her father Larry Dean Brewer, grandpa Johnny Kearns, and nephew Sid Kocher.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday December 19, 2022, from 10-12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
