Carroll L. Phillips

Carroll L. Phillips, 81, born November 2, 1941, passed on October 1, 2022. Carroll left this earth to go to a more pleasant place.

Carroll was born in Spencer, Tennessee. Carroll loved his country and served in the Army in the mid 60’s. He later was a member of the American Legion, serving as commander in Daleville, Chesterfield, and Anderson. He was also a trustee for the AmVETS. He retired from Delco Remy after several years.

He will be greatly missed by his significant other of 22 years, Mary Davis, his daughter Angela, granddaughter Christina Ballinger, and great-grandchildren Ember and Jax Ballinger; brother Gene Phillips (Jane); sisters Nell Webb (Gary), Kay Smelser (Larry), and Betty Sanders (Paul); several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Phillips and Juanita Alfrey, brother Jim Phillips.

Cremation was chosen and no services will be held at this time.
